Helen was honoured to perform as Elizabeth I in front of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, celebrating Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, broadcast from the private grounds of Windsor Castle, paying tribute to The Queen’s remarkable 70 years of service, as Queen Elizabeth I
She lead an all-starcast including Damian Lewis, Omid Djalili and Tom Cruise broadcast on ITV. The celebration was made up of four acts, each overseen by a different event host including Damian Lewis and Tom Cruise. This major event comprising 1000 participants and 500 horses took viewers on a journey through history, from the reign of Queen Elizabeth I through to the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11 and culminating in a grand finale.
Helen’s role of Queen Elizabeth I, with a cast of ‘Queen’s Players’ were introduced by a character called ‘The Herald’ played by Omid Djalili. Each act reflected on key moments in history including Elizabeth I’s Tilbury Speech (insert photo in battle dress) and James 1 and the Gunpowder Plot. Music was provided by a 75-piece orchestra and the Conductor was the award winning composer, Debbie Wiseman, whom Helen and Damian recorded the Kings and Queens CD with earlier this year.
